There is a lake close to my home, that I love to walk around.
It’s one of my favorite places because of the many old trees,
animals, and ancient energies. This past Monday I went to see the
sunrise. As I walked around I noticed how amazing nature was.
Within an hour, the sky went from being purple and red from the
sun rise, to being dark and gray with storm clouds coming.

Birds who were flying high with the dawn of the day, hid in trees
and bushes. The wind became stronger and the squirrels
disappeared. I passed my favorite tree as snow began to fall and
I realized how easily and effortlessly nature goes with change.

I didn’t see my favorite tree drop to the ground and throw a
drama and trauma fit on how unfair it was that it was so bright
and shiny and now it was being snowed on. I didn’t notice the
birds pout in anger and shock that it was snowing. I saw ease and
flow.

It made me wonder, why do humans have such a hard time with
change and why does nature have such an easy time?

Nature has an awareness about what’s going to happen that we
refuse to have. For example, years ago when the tsunami hit
Thailand, all the animals went to higher ground. Change was
coming and instead of fighting or denying it, they created ease
by doing something different.

How often have you sensed that a relationship, situation,
experience doesn’t feel quite right and yet you still go ahead?
You have the awareness that it’s not 100%, but unlike nature you
refuse to accept and allow yourself to have ease. You chose to go
the difficult route, hoping, praying that it’ll turn our alright.

Nature also knows that when it allows itself to change, it
experiences even more of everything. The birds, trees knew that
with the snow came water and resources for possibly the rest of
the year. Have you ever been fired from a job or left it and
found something better, perhaps even happiness? Left a
relationship only to meet someone a LOT nicer?

Nature has no investment in anything. A tree doesn’t say to a
squirrel, “Hey you lived in me for 2 years, how dare you move to
another tree. I am shocked and dismayed that you changed your
mind and now I will cry in anger at your choice.”  All energies
are free to chose at all times what works best for it. When we
try to control something, we stick it and stick ourselves. This
is how karma can get locked down in our being.

Change is a wonderful thing if you allow it to come to you with
ease. Pay attention to the information you’re getting, don’t
ignore or avoid it. The Oneness is providing you with all that
you need to make it easy for you. But it can’t force you to hear
or receive the information. That choice is yours.
